Pets picked up by animal control (Logan City and Cache County) are brought to us for impound. They are kept for 5 days while animal control and New Vision Veterinary attempts to location their owner. After 5 days the pets are officially and legally abandoned and become the property of New Vision Veterinary at which time we start seeking an adoptive family for them. All Impounded pets must have a microchip, be current on a rabies vaccinations, be licensed with their city, and have their impound fees paid before they are released back to their owner.
Once pets are considered abandoned we make sure they are healthy (or adoptive families are aware of their health issues), spayed or neutered, and up to date on their vaccinations before they can be adoptive. Families are able to give a loving home to these abandoned pets. If you with to visit or foster any of them please give us a call.
